Where do these numbers come from?

Where do these numbers come from?

Every price and stat is built from trusted, public market data — here’s who provides it.

Finisdom doesn’t make numbers up. It gathers them from well-known data sources and does the math for you. Here’s the plain-English list:

  • Yahoo Finance — stock and fund prices.
  • FRED (U.S. Federal Reserve) — interest rates, the VIX worry meter, and economic data.
  • CoinGecko — crypto prices like Bitcoin.
  • Finnhub — extra company and market data.
  • CFTC — reports on what big traders are doing.
  • SEC EDGAR — official company filings, like when insiders buy or sell.

Most numbers reflect the last completed trading day. Markets close on weekends and holidays, so a Saturday will still show Friday’s prices — that’s normal, not a glitch.
