What is investing?

What is investing?

Investing means putting your money to work so it can grow over time.

Saving means keeping money safe. Investing means letting that money do a job — buying small pieces of companies, gold, or other things that can be worth more later.

When the things you own go up in value, you gain. When they go down, you lose for a while. Over many years, investing has usually grown money faster than leaving it in a piggy bank.

Think of a money seed. Plant it, give it time, and it can grow into a tree. Dig it up every day to check, and it never gets the chance to grow.

This app is a cockpit for investing. It shows you what you own, how risky it is, and whether your plan is on track — all in one place.

Where these numbers come from

Finisdom doesn’t hold your money. It’s a place to plan and watch. The prices you see come from real market data providers (you’ll learn which ones later).
